Wahid Adnan by profession is a photographer of Bangladeshi origin. He likes to work with human and focus on the complex community that exist in our society, be it in a ship breaking yard or under drainage sewer of the city. At present he is working as freelance documentary photographer after serving as photo editor, text editor in DrikNEWS and documentary photographer in the photography department of Drik for nearly seven years. He also studied the advanced program in photography in PATHSHALA, South Asian Media Academy. In the year 2009 and 2010 he was nominated for 'Joop Swart Masterclass' organized by 'World Press Photo'. His works got published in National Geographic Magazine, Reader’s Digest, The Guardian, The Vice Versa, The Daily Star and The Daily New Age (Bangladeshi National Dailies), Himal Southasian, Better Photography and etc. Beside that Adnan was practicing lawyer from 2005-2007 in Chittagong Bar but decided to change his track to photography taking a much-loved hobby as a profession. Apart from this, he is deeply addicted in motorcycle culture. When there is not assignments, he gets his hands rusty, oily and greasy to build motorcycles for himself and ride them around the country...if the pocket allows!
